Leicester Central Fire Station

The Leicester Fire Station refurbishment was a restoration of a Grade II listed building, the oldest station within Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service.

Previously unfit for the needs of a 21st Century fire and rescue service, the station now boasts some of the finest training facilities in the area and offers greater accessibility to the public with a multi-functional community meeting room.

It will have a greater energy efficiency rate and will have additional work places for 15 members of staff.

The station remained fully open during the restoration works.
